Details

The Daily Scrum News aims to address the critical gap in tracking missing and murdered Black Canadians by developing a national database. This project will focus on creating a working smart, robust, and public-facing platform dedicated to this cause. The platform will be accessible in real-time and serve families, law enforcement, journalists, educators, and advocates. It will utilize data to track, analyze, and predict patterns to assist in finding the missing and highlighting systemic failures. The project will include permanent visual records, journalistic storytelling, and a searchable archive to ensure that these individuals are remembered and their stories are told. This initiative is a pioneering effort in Canada and seeks to create a coordinated strategy to address this pressing issue.

Deliverables

The project deliverables should include a working database to be integrated webbase into The Daily Scrum News platform, featuring a user-friendly interface and real-time data accessibility. The prototype will incorporate visual records and a searchable archive. Additionally, the project will deliver a report detailing the data analysis and pattern prediction capabilities, along with recommendations for future development and implementation.
