This collaboration promises a journey of knowledge exchange and practical application. Steps for Matching: Step 1: Business owners submit match requests, initiating a video call discussion with the professor to explore project suitability. Step 2: Mutual approval from both parties solidifies the match on the Riipen platform. Step 3: Projects are assigned to student teams, fostering collaborative group dynamics (3-4 students per team). Step 4: Seamless communication unfolds on the Riipen platform, ensuring active involvement from educators, employers, and learners.  Ideal Partner: We seek a business owner fervent about spearheading an HR-related project with a clear and defined objective. Your passion is key to creating a transformative learning experience for our students.

Looking to elevate your business, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from Keyano College to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the partnership period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program are given an introduction to the new world of communication, building skills in five specific areas: choosing effective communication channel; critical thinking through verbal and written message; business writing; research strategies and material usage; and presentation and job search strategies. Students will be exposed to writing basic business documents and utilizing information data bases, citation, and referencing of materials.

Students will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the internship period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program are poised to succeed in the integrated work areas of: • Describe how employment legislation impacts human resources • Design human resources policies and programs • Facilitate employee training and development • Ensure health and safety in the workplace • Recruit and select employees • Promote diversity • Manage performance • Recommend strategic change initiatives • Develop a total rewards system • Manage employee/labour relations • Create a comprehensive human resources plan Students are required to complete 4-5 hours per week of placement between May to June 2022.
